Controversies
On December 16, 2023, Y3llow posted her original apology video (now deleted) about her homophobic, transphobic, and racist comments she had made in her Discord server known as Palette. Since then she has come out with a revised edition of an apology dedicated to those whom she has effected. She is "determined to return as a better person" after a month of reflectance, and a change of mindset next 2024 year.
This situation has been going on before the video aired; as these were statements Y3llow had made overtime making racist/fatphobic comments about actors in popular media (ex. Little Mermaid Live Remake), and a remark of homophobia and transphobia through taunting someone's pronouns page (victim referenced as "R" in response video). She has deleted her original apology as it did not include all of the evidence of her past messages in her initial letter coming off as over-dramatic and manipulative to her audience, attempting to make amends in her revised edition to include feedback from her criticizers/victims she had not directly contacted beforehand before making the video. She claims it was only a mistake on her end, and only revised to address her actions and take accountability to the fullest.
Y3llow had not addressed these allegations/phobic-comments for awhile since such beliefs were normalized for her in her environment both online and in real life; and how she has had a heavy high-school work schedule for a Sophomore (one consisting of 5 college-level classes and other extracurricular activities, including managing her own huge channel). It was like any other common conversation to her, so it came and went. She thought it was all common sense; yet failed to regard how educated it would be for her to make such statements that would eventually verbally-abuse and hurt others. Regardless: she knows this isn't an excuse for her to commit such actions, and accepts she has commited such a wrong-doing which has harmed others for the worse. She desires to learn/grow from her toxic behavior there-on.
Y3llow will continue to create content, but not until she has taken some time away from her channel to reflect on how she can improve her character to be better to others. She understands she has lost her humility she has once prided on, but knows that if others do not want to support/watch her content anymore she will respect their decision.
